Lighting setup is a key part of video production and requires a structured approach to ensure the right visual expression. The process starts with an analysis of the video’s style, mood and shooting environment, where we assess which lighting best supports the narrative.
Before filming, we plan the lighting direction, intensity and colour temperature so that the light both highlights the subject and creates the desired atmosphere. If we are working with natural light, we often supplement it with artificial light sources to ensure consistency and depth in the image.
During filming, the lighting setup is continuously adjusted to adapt to changing angles, movements and surroundings. Small variations in placement or intensity can significantly change the look of the image, so the setup is continuously fine-tuned to achieve the optimal balance between shadows, highlights and contrasts.
By following a precise and methodical approach to lighting, we ensure that each scene is technically well lit and visually consistent, which streamlines post-production and creates a professional end result.
