Lattec

Turning raw milk data into real-time insight

Building a self-contained system to collect, process, and display live milk analysis data

The challenge

Lattec needed a way to capture and visualise live data from their Smart Milk Analyzer directly in the browser, to give operators a clear, instant overview.

The system had to be reliable, easy to deploy, and able to recover automatically after something as simple as a power outage.

Local data collection unit

We built a Raspberry Pi–based setup running Ubuntu, configured to install PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and all required dependencies in one go. The system auto-starts all services after a reboot, ensuring no downtime in data collection.

Custom Laravel Nova interface

We built a browser-based interface in Laravel Nova to receive and display live data from the Smart Milk Analyzer.

Operators can monitor readings in real time, select individual milkings for testing, and store results for later review.

A tailored dashboard presents all sample data in a clear, accessible format, making it easy to track quality over time and support informed decisions.

Bringing milk analysis further

Lattec now has a self-contained, robust solution for collecting, storing, and viewing milk quality data in real time, without manual intervention or risk of losing results.

A clearer view of milk quality, from the first reading to the final report.
